Military Personnel Provide Free Medical Treatment to West Papua Communities

Led by Second Lieutenant Infantry Fahrian Fuad Hakim, personnel from the 715/Motuliato Infantry Battalion conducted free medical treatments for residents in Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia.
Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Dwi Hertanto stated that this initiative is a flagship program of the task force, highlighting the active role of personnel in providing free medical services to West Papuan communities. “It also allows us to hear the complaints of the people in the Mulia District, Puncak Jaya,” said Dwi Hertanto.
To address health issues, particularly in the Mulia District, the personnel of the 715/Motuliato Infantry Battalion organized a campaign promoting the importance of health and hygiene among local residents. “This activity aims to create a healthier community and a cleaner environment,” he explained.
Specifically, personnel from the Muliambut Post of the 715/Motuliato Infantry Battalion provided health education, as several residents had reported long-lasting fevers, headaches, and coughs. “This activity is designed to gain the sympathy of the community, address health problems, and demonstrate the 715/Motuliato Infantry Battalion’s commitment to providing tangible services in Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua Province, so that residents become more concerned about their health and the cleanliness of their living environment,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tommpati Wodanak (49), a local resident, expressed his enthusiasm for the 715/Motuliato Infantry Battalion’s involvement in community health initiatives. “Thank you for coming and providing the best for our community, and for helping to maintain a more conducive environment in Muliambut Village,” he said.
