Authorities in Philippines arrested Anton Gobay on Saturday (6/1) in Kiamba, Sarangani Province. Local authorities seized 10 guns and several munitions from Gobay.

According to official release, Gobay was apprehended during weapon transaction in southern Philippines. Two locals were nabbed with Gobay.

In his social media account, Gobay frequently post his pictures with OPM’s or Free west papua army’s flag and insignia. He often post content about separating West Papua from Indonesia as well.

Gobay and local Philippinos was held two bags. Police found 10 COLT AR-15 calibre 9mm PARA, 20 magazine, 10 detachable riffle butt gun. Both Gobay and his two partner could not provide legal document to proof they can have or bring the weapon. Hence, they were taken to local police office.

The arrest is clear and solid evidences free west army and its operatives are illegal organization and rejected by authorities outside Indonesia.

What these weapon will be used for? killing civilian in Papua as OPM did for years.
