Yomokho Hill is an interesting Papuan tourist destination to visit.
The Yomokho Hill Papua tourist destination is in the East Sentani District, Jayapura Regency, to be precise in the western part of Lake Sentani.
Like other hills in the Lake Sentani area, Yomokho Hill offers beautiful natural scenery.
When arriving at Yomokho Hill, visitors will be greeted with green grass at this location.
From this hill, visitors can see a wide panorama of Lake Sentani.
Tourists can also see clearly the Lukas Enembe Stadium, which is the grandest stadium in Papua, from the top of this hill.
If you come in the afternoon, tourists can enjoy the beautiful sunset.
On Yomokho Hill there are also traces of early humans.
This hill is a prehistoric residential site known as the Yomokho Site.
At this site, pottery shards, stone axes, and sago cutting tools were found which show human activities in the past who lived in this location.
There are also stone planks and menhirs at the Yomokho Site which serve as a medium for worshiping ancestral spirits.
Prehistoric humans are thought to have inhabited and been active on Yomokho Hill since 2,590 years ago.
